We are looking for a Construction Manager.

Tasks and responsabilities

  • Manage all stages of development projects, from design to construction
  • Participate in the preparation of tender documents in order to contribute to their quality and minimize potential changes and interface issues between contracts
  • Implement recovery plans for the execution of construction contracts
  • Support project managers in the analysis and awarding of contracts as well as in the analysis of extras and modifications to subcontractor contracts
  • Be involved in the first meetings and in the coordination of meetings
  • Assist project managers, superintendents and the estimating department in the coordination of various projects
  • Carry out monthly cost follow-ups for the team’s projects
  • Conduct site visits
  • Manage major project conflicts with the project managers
  • Rigorously monitor the various timelines and budgets of ongoing projects
  • Support the team of subcontractors and professionals during site meetings
  • Support the team by handling issues, constraints, changes and complaints
  • Oversee the team’s development and training
  • Participate in the design planning and optimization early in the design phase
  • Prepare cost and progress reports for project management
  • Present project progress to financial partners
  • Ensure the quality of the team’s deliverables, including organizing and inspecting installation and start-up work, applying test protocols, handling anomalies and non-conformities, validating work completion, and issuing acceptance certificates as well as compliance certificates
  • All other related tasks

Required experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction or civil engineering
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in multi-story construction projects and experience managing projects of $50 million or more
  • Experience in finance management
  • Knowledge of Maestro, Procore and Office Suite software
  • Perfectly bilingual

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of construction techniques and sequences
